This Nao figures requires painting and assembly. Its always the beautiful ones
where we would have to get it painted.
The figure is beautiful and "looking" is all I'm going to do. I'm not
a huge Nao fan. I'll save my $$ for Shizuru and Natsuki figures
Found some new stuff. I'm glad that not only the new series of HiME is
promoted.
What do you think about this lovely PVC-Figure (or is it a Model Kit?) of
Nao?
Looks great for me and definitly worth to buy.
But it will cost 10.000 Yen if I read the message correct on the official site.
Thanks for the update Cheza. Even if its a filler or not, I'm excited to see
more of the young Maria more than any of the other characters. I would really
like to see how she acted in her younger days.
And if you guys head over to the official site's homepage, there seems to be yet
another Mai Hime universe series in the works. There doesn;t appear much info on
it yet other than the character's name is Mao.
Frankly, I prefer they animate Mai Hime Destiny. I find the story much more
interesting than Sif.r despite Sifr only had release one episode. Destiny has
already progressed I think up to ch 12 in the novels. I have only seen up to ch
6 english translated and listening to a few of the CD drama tracks where I can
understand the general idea, makes this particular series much more enjoyable
for me.
The official site came finally up with the DVD shots for Episode 2 of S.ifr.
Here are some pics:
From the pics I'm a bit disappointed. It looks like a typical filler episode
with other characters interacting instead of the main ones. Although this can be
funny and also dramatic I was hoping to see more of Rena and S.ifr
But let's wait. It's not so long counting the days from now on.
Release date: 2008/07/25
If I don't misinterpret the new announcement on the official site the 2nd
Episode will be released on 25th of July which is very late. Don't know what the
site exactly says cause I can't read japanese
Rogueman, I saw your snapshots of the book at animesuki and I quite agree the
artbook itself is not all that great considering its mainly have images we have
seen before in other artbooks. And I was hoping to see Hisayuki's work that were
in his gallery.
The collection of screencaps for Otome and Zwei was pretty much one of the few
things I cared about. It brings me back a few good memories of some of the
scenes the anime have.
Here I made some half decent scans of the newer images from the artbook.
More like 2-3 months later if Sunrise follows a typical every other month or two
between episodes.
I really also liked ep 1 for the yuri moments and the awesome Rena in battle
form. The cilffhanger leaves me very excited for ep 2. Here's hoping Sifr wil
continue to be a very good show!

New Artbook - Mai Otome Otomegraph Premium is available. Here's some scans I got
from Animaxis.com.
Its probably has alot of art we have already seen. My copy is on the way, so I
hope to see some real good new pics. I'm ~slowly~ working on a new banner for
this group
and in need of some specific imagery from the Sifr series if there's any in the
book at all.
got the book a couple of weeks ago. there's only 1 or two new artworks, the rest
are old. posted some photos @ my blog and animesuki. there's some new production
sketches, like the 'maiâ??maid' pages. other than that, it's the
worse of the 4 books.

I watched the raw and the animation looks quite good. Rena's fighting scenes
look very impressive. The directing of the action scene seem to look better than
the ones in the Otome and Zwei to series.
Familiar Characters of course make thei appearance. Aside from a younger version
of John Smith, there's a quick peek of the blond haired Maria Graceburt. I
wonder if we would get to see her in action? Mai Hime Destiny characters show
up. A Mayo look-alike is a Meister Otome and Shion is her Master.

The CD in Cheza's post below should be the 2nd drama cd for Mai Hime Destiny
coming out in early March. And about that artbook, I guess I'll be adding that
to my collection
The pics you uploaded are awesome but I won't buy the artbook just because of
some of them. I have mainly all the pics in my other artbooks and got some
really nice scans from AP.
Anyway, thanks for sharing them.
The official site has come up with the cover of the first DVD and some minor
pics.
There will also be a new CD for Mai HiME Destiny. I'm not sure if this is a
Drama CD or not.
And it seems that were will be also a new type of Artbook
Yup, got the artbook. If you have/seen most of the Hime/Otome art books, visited
the Mai Hime official site's galleries, and seen many not-so-major pics of
official art in anime/shoujo-ai forums scanned/shared by fans, then you're not
missing much.
This book is pretty much a semi-ultimate guide with previously seen art covering
Mai Hime and its spinoffs- (Otome/Zwei/Another/Destiny/S.ifr.) There is a
character guide of the Zwei OVA -which got pics I don't recall seeing at the
official site.
I feel the book is worth it if one is a huge fan. The book covers everything Mai
Hime/Otome consisting the anime and manga universes, the video games, the
novels, a section featuring almost every official merchandise ever made, voice
actress info, etc.
I got some scans I'll put up sometime this week. Right now Imageshack is being
stubborn in uploading the files.

To those who are interested, I found this Youtube vid of the Mai Otome S.ifr
promo. Its not the one that was played after the last Zwei OVA.
Its a camcorder video shot at some sort of convention, so quality sucks. The
only Mai Hime alter ego I can think of is John Smith. He's the only MH character
I can thonk of right now.

A very belated Happy New Year to all. Quite dead here. Not a whole lot of new
stuff has been worth mentioning that is Hime related.
Anyhow, I'm back from the dead to share some sceencaps from the extended ending
for the Mai Otome Zwei OVA. A little over 4 minutes long, it features that Mimi
chibi version lookalike (forgot her name) and the Five Pilliars/Columns. I
couldn;t catch all what was all going on. Earlier in the extra, I think the
little girl is declaring she wants to be an Otome to Principle Natsuki Kruger
who doesn't seem to sure about that. Hopefully a sub will be out at some point.
Thje gang are quite happy of how things are going on.
Like Mai Hime, Mai Otome/Zwei has a Fan Disk DVD. Unfortunately, it doesn't
really have much new stuff. It starts out with the Otome textless opening intro
follow by promo trailers, TV episode previews, commericials, Otome
materialization sequence, Arika's appearance at the end of Mai Hime. The new
thing I only see are music videos of Otome and Zwei. The features in this DVD
could had been better of included in the TV DVD releases.
Lucky you IcyBlade, getting to go to a Comi Fes. I'm done with cons for the
year, so I would have to resort to online shopping for them til my next trip to
one that comes up next year.
In the meantime, Mai Hime/Otome franchise is not dead yet though for now things
are quiet. According to the official site, a new vocal CD for Mai Otome Zwei is
out.
It includes the opening and closing themes for the OVA.
I like the Mai one from that Mai Otome Figure Series Part 2. I would get just
that figure if somebody sells it as a single. I got too many other Hime/Otome
figures to bother collecting the others.
Here are some more upcoming figures that has been advertised for some time
ago.

Time to break the quietness here. The official site has been updated with a new
Mai Otome S.ifr~ section filled with some new images, character pics, etc.
There's even a new logo. Below are a couple of pics I copied off the
site.
Ah, thanks for the link.
Well, I will not buy this book. I have nearly all of the scans on my two
artbooks and the ones missing aren't so much. Not worth spending money for it

Gashapon Series Mai Otome Part 2. These figures are awesome. I love all of them
but the one of Nao the most ^___^
Close to 2 weeks(?) has gone by and I'm still waiting for HobbyLink to get
around to ship it
. (What's taking taking them so long!)
Anyhow, Hobby Search online shop has these scans of a few parts of the book.
Most of the images are illustrations that were first seen in japanese anime
magazines like Megami and Newtype.
Did you get your Mai HiME / Mai Otome Artbook from Hobby Link Japan?
I've seen pics with just some minor character descriptions but no really good
scans.
Is it worth buying?
Out of the group, I like the Mai figure the most. I think the set is due for a
nov 2007 release.

I guess we can forget seeing My Otome Sifr this year. From what I can make out
at Bandai' Japanese produce site, its going to be a 30 minute OVA series on DVD.
Volume 1 due out on Feb 22, 2008.
In the meantime, for those who missed out on the Mai Hime Character/Child
relation profile special that were made by SS a long time ago, you can see it here in Youtube. There's
also one for Mai Otome they done that was explaining the Otomes's relation to
their Gems found here.
And there is going to be a Rena or Lena Sayers figure coming out in Dec along
with Hime Mai and Otome Arika, though Sayers looks more like she's from Cyber
Formula GPX than Mai Otome.
That's definitly the style of Cyber Formula GPX.
The hole figure (is it really one figure?) is inspired by the cover of the Mai
HiME Artbook of Hirokazu Hisayuki.
I think it's worth buying it (may it be a single figure or three of them).
Thanks for the info ^________^
EDIT:
I was just browsing on Hobby Link Japan and found the figures:
Each of them (it's really so that each figure must be buyed to get the hole
bunch) will be released in December and cost around 40 $ (man, this is really
hard)
More infos can be found here:
For a minute there, I thought she was doing a naughty strip tease. But I guess
she's is going to show off her bikini...or not.
If Sunrise follows their pattern of release time of their Mai Hime/Otome series,
I perdict we could be seeing S.lfr~in October or November of this year. I hope
it does focus more Rena Sayers storyline assuming its in the same timeline as
Mai Otome.
